Indoor gardening Tips- House plants care

I want to know about watering indoor garden plants and about temperature control and feeding the the house plants with fertilizers. is that true  ” water on leaves of African violets are not good ?

Indoor gardening tips on basic care house plants

before we get into the topic there is thumb rule in indoor gardening – “do leave the house pants and dont care too much both of them will kill the plants” . he we are going to concentrate on temperature , light , humidity , watering and fertilizers for house plants.

Temperature care for house plants:

indoor plants dont like drafty area. they dont behave like outdoor plants and most common types of indoor plants are not fast adaptable to situation . most  of the new indoor gardeners place the plants under heavy sunlight flow window thinking they are helping them to to grow . but the other thing alone happens – it dies because of raising temperature  & cold air at night from window sides .

best time for sun bath for our house plants are at morning sun rays – yes less intense sun beam that’s good for their health.

Sunlight for house plants & rotation

this depends on the plants we choose . as already said morning sunlight is good for all kind of indoor garden plants – but some require more sunlight than normal plant. check the leaves of plants if the leaves are darker than normal then it mean they need more sunlight. so chase the sunlight through he window for your indoor pants. even we can use artificial gro-lights incase more need than that is available. rotate your house plants as they will grow inclined towards the light – this will help them to grow straight.

Soil and pot :

in previous post we covered about the pot to be used for indoor plants . a brief here – use sterile pots  ( means soak the muds pots for more than 4 hours or  bleach the containers with 1 :10 water to stay away from bacteria and infection).soil must be heated and it must contain nutrients and it must be porous to absorb the water and there must be proper drainage in the pot ,as our roots dont like to be wet all the time.

Humidity  : regarding humidity & air , most common house plants need humid air in nature other plants like those African violets ( even that is also chosen by most of gardeners ). even spray water over the leaves for the humid air needy plants ( read perfectly about your plant for needs – rather general needs if that’s uncommon plant than others ).

watering house pants : here also make a thumb rule ” keep the soil moisture not dry or not wet ” . most of us of themed  on over care we kill the plants in contrary . water the plants in a way the water reaches the root not the overflowing the dish out side . and allow the soil to become dry before next watering. if you see yellow leaves (unless  not the real color of that plant) on the plant then it mean we are over watering the plants.

Feeding Fertilizers :see indoor plants are not trees or something – please don’t feed too much it will burn it out . have low powered and balanced fertilizers for our house plants as their needs are less the use less . so do not feed often and in case of liquid fertilizers feed the plants only once for every two weeks .

Brief  tip indoor gardening : optimum temperature , pleasant light , rotation , nutrients mixed soil with perfect drainage , moisture soil and feed on intervals makes a lovely and healthy house plants
