3 levels in Strategic Planning Process & Implementation – A bird’s View

strategic planning process : this time we can have a bird view of strategic planning process instead of getting deep into that – so we will have something like key points for the planning process. what we are going to look on : Getting core ( developing a plan ) , action plans & implementation , testing maintenance and backup

Getting the Core ” designing a blue print “

base of  strategic planning is divided into four phases, namely the vision, mission , creating a business model and business development strategy.

• Vision statement : It is a view of an idealized image of the future position of the company.
• Mission statement: A brief description of the purpose of the existence of an organization.
• Business Models: this is concerned with idention of the lines of business (LOB) and the establishment of critical success indicators (CSI).
• developing a strategy : This process locates the priority areas and establishes a method that helps fulfill the goals specified in the priority areas.

Action plans & Implementation ” ordering raw materials & start construction “

getting to the second level of the strategic planning process

• swot : gather the strength , weakness , opportunities and threats for our company this will help in future steps
• analyze the gap : we have to check out the current position of the company and target of the company so that we can find out the gap to be what and gives a clear idea what are all the things to be needed to fill the gap
• device the action plan : as we have gathered the above said two we get an idea on devising the action plan according to our company rather than being common. we must be much specific that we create more or less a foolproof  plan ( not exactly it will ).
• regarding implementation : we must be sure that the goal of the company and specific action plans reaches everyone and reaches the perfect one for each specific activity – as this happens every one will be clear about our business goal and  show their maximum effort that they can on that specific activity that they are allotted to.

Testing , maintenance and Checkpoints ” have a regular visit “

• Designing a ship and set to sail doesn’t make sure that it will reach the other end – often check for the obstacles ( an ice bar may hit our ship at anytime ) and take diversion and do some small changes in the plan.
• make some checkpoints after the implementation of the strategic plan – coz will help us to check  whether the our ship( our plan ) is reaching every checkpoint successfully
• as we are maintaining our Building ( our plan and activities  ) , we can fix any small crack to avoid the huge ones
• have some backup plans in case of something goes wrong (this way we will stay away from disappointments and depression ) . this level just tells us one thing ” just monitor our plan is working fine “
